Thank you for coming to my site…you don’t know how it means to me!
Here’s my story: In 2009, I finished graduate school with a MA in Entrepreneurial Management. It was a great moment in my life, but the current job search has been tough at best. I moved to Chicago in March of 2010 & it’s been one of the best decisions of my life. However, the job market has been that active and finding a paying job has been very difficult. I have had a few second interviews, but nothing solid. I’m looking every single day, but I know my search will pay off soon!
Concurrently, I have been doing my best to pay my student loans on time. Having a few bucks in the bank makes it seemingly impossible, but with the help of my mother and a few great friends, I have been able to keep up with them. However, some companies like Sallie Mae are being very difficult. With compound interest my student loans have ballooned to over $120,000. With most of my options exhausted and my job search ongoing, I have decided to turn to the people of the world for help. No one realizes how hard it is for me to ask for help, but it must be done.
Here’s what I’m proposing:
If everyone could donate $1 and pass this site along to their friends, that would be wonderful. You can donate anything from $1 to any amount you feel is within your means. $1 can change the world. In order to keep things on the up and up, I will post the weekly total of all money received to help with my plight & give you updates on my life in general. Anything raised over $120,000 will be donated to charity and this site will be closed. All donations can be made via PayPal (paypal.com) to apf420*@*gmail.com. Let’s see how much we can raise by January 31, 2011. I know it can be done!
I know some of you may think that this site is a scam, but it’s not. I have everything to lose and nothing to hide by being honest. Yes, I took out the loans and this is my problem. However, what would you do if this were your friend, child, spouse, cousin, employee, or babysitter? Any help you can give is much appreciated. Everyone who gives will receive a personal “Thank you” email from me. It’s the least I can do.
Thank you for your time & may you have a blessed day.
